I don't know what the original version of this tasted like but this one tastes like Jagermeister [link] but more shitty. after only about 5 ounces of this mixed with a Monster energy drink (that is all my friend had home to mix it with) i was done. Next day was nothing short of a hangover with headache and the aftertaste returning frequently. So I'm glad that i tried it actually because I will never touch it again. Anyway this shitty liquor is 55% alcohol (110proof) and it didn't make me hallucinate.

^That guy is not speaking the truth. Its a myth that it would be illegal. It is perfectly legal in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Germany and UK well those are the ones I know for a fact. Actually it was never banned in Sweden. Absinthe is something that needs to be carefully selected, don't make the mistake of buying based on color either (like some whiskey drinkers do). Independent distillers tend to be the best. 110 proof or 55% is relatively low for Absinthe i must say.
